I had read Carl Honoré’s book when it came out and tremendously enjoyed it. If you have never heard of the slow movement, this video is a good introduction.
I like Nancy Duarte’s thought that presentation slides have a lot in common with billboards.
Very good presentations by Rafi Haladjian and Dan Gillmor.
Just arrived at Reboot - huge Mac penetration.
Heading over to Copenhagen for Reboot. Curious to see how it’ll be.

Visiting BMW Welt - quite impressive and makes me want to buy a 1 series convertible.
I’m struck again by Munich’s beauty, cycling through the Nymphenburg park at dusk…
Just went for a morning swim in the Ammersee - still cold, but very invigorating.
Just tried out windsurfing again at a lake near Munich with Flo and Coco. So much fun! Now time to get ingredients for a BBQ.
Queueing for overpriced coffee at Copenhagen airport. Still, the desire is greater than reason.

Oil @ $1,000 a barrel in 2010?
Stanley Bing raises this thought-provoking hypothesis, oil at $1,000 a barrel in 2010?
Even though I don’t agree with a lot of the implications listed in his post, it’s still extremely valuable to ask such a question. Really, what if? Even @ $500 a barrel…

Welcome to readers of svenlindner.com, which is now pointing to this tumble blog.
Watching the Germany game at Folkets Park - raining cats and dogs but luckily I’m in a tent.

Atonement & Wild Hogs
I think I pretty much covered both extremes of the emotive movie spectrum this weekend, watching first Atonement on Saturday and Wild Hogs tonight. Both were great!
In one sentence each…
Atonement was artful, extremely touching and tragic in a tender kind of way.
Wild Hogs was just plainly amusing and Martin Lawrence’s comments hilarious.

Procrastination and perfectionism
Just listened to part of NPR’s Talk of the Nation, How to Be a Productive Procrastinator (via 43 Folders). One interesting point I never realized was the connection between procrastination and perfectionism. Perfectionists have a tendency to procrastinate because they feel the pressure of having to live up to high and outside standards - so for fear of not achieving them… In some...
